In re James Roy WILLIAMS, Attorney-Appellant,
Ruby LONG, (86-3391), Clovis P. Hines, (86-3840), Plaintiffs,
v.
SECRETARY OF HEALTH & HUMAN SERVICES, Defendant-Appellee.
Nos. 86-3391, 86-3840.
United States Court of Appeals, Sixth Circuit.
Jan. 24, 1989.
Unpublished Disposition
NOTICE: Sixth Circuit Rule 24(c) states that citation of unpublished dispositions is disfavored except for establishing res judicata, estoppel, or the law of the case and requires service of copies of cited unpublished dispositions of the Sixth Circuit.
Before MERRITT and DAVID A. NELSON, Circuit Judges, and CONTIE, Senior Circuit Judge.
PER CURIAM.
These consolidated appeals, brought by an attorney who successfully represented two social security claimants in the district court, present the question of whether the district court abused its discretion in awarding attorney fees. Sitting en banc, we recently considered substantially identical issues in Rodriquez v. Bowen, Nos. 86-1444/1623/3108 (6th Cir. Jan. 11, 1989). Because the district court's reduction of requested attorney fee awards in the instant cases is inconsistent with the approach outlined in Rodriquez, we REMAND these cases to the district court for reconsideration in light of Rodriquez.
