(a) In general The Corporation may make grants under section
12524 (b)(1) of this title to public or private
nonprofit">
nonprofit organizations that
(1) have experience with service-learning;
(2) were in existence at least 1 year before the date on which the organization submitted an application under section
12526 (a) of this title; and
(3) meet such other criteria as the Chief Executive Officer may establish.
(b) Use of funds Such organizations may use grants made under subsection (a) of this section to make grants to partnerships described in paragraph (2) or (4) of section
12521 (a) of this title to implement, operate, or expand
school-based service-learning programs as described in such section and provide technical assistance and training to appropriate persons.
